This is a 145º image of the promenade tier lobby. I had been shooting the inside of the concert hall, but decided to try a shot of this lobby, thinking that the flat, overcast daylight would ease the contrast between the windows and the shadows. Just as I was starting my pre-scan, the sun broke out of the clouds and streamed in through the windows behind me, striking only the wood on the right. I quickly made a guess on the exposure and view-angle, then just let the camera go. I like the simplicity of the final image, although the light balance was tricky.
